Businesses Regain Access

East State Street had been closed for about four months while city workers replaced an old water main. The construction meant businesses along the route suffered.

George Daily, the owner of Daily's Auto Upholstery, closed his shop because he saw no reason to keep it open, but now that traffic is flowing once again he is back and open for business.

Besides replacing a water main, the $606,000 project included repaving part of East State Street as well as adding new lighting.
