Senate Minority Leader Frank Watson vows to keep fighting for medical malpractice reform, saying the issue is too important to let it drop.

Some doctors have seen their malpractice insurance payments triple, forcing them to drop their practices and leaving some parts of Illinois without important specialists.

The doctors' main lobbying group, the Illinois State Medical Society, says it will work hard to send legislators to Springfield who will support their cause.
