SHELBYVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- An autopsy is scheduled for today for a University of Illinois graduate student who drowned in a central Illinois lake over the weekend.
Tungi Toogun of Urbana was pronounced dead Friday night.
Officials say the 26-year-old was with friends on a daylong boat trip on Lake Shelbyville in a rented boat. Witnesses say he lost his balance and went into the water. He was not wearing a life preserver.
Shelby County Coroner Brian Green says two people went in after him but that he spent 15 minutes underwater before he could be reached.
Green says no foul play is suspected in Toogun's death.
