Fred Yowler and his wife Betty love traveling in their Winnebago, and say news that the company is bouncing back after a rough year, reinforces their decision to stick with the brand.

"I think this is great since this is our second Winnebago, we know we've got somebody who's there for us in case anything does go wrong," Yowler said.

The second quarter of 2009 was anything but leisurely for the RV industry. A year ago, Winnebago lost ten point four million dollars, this year the company is making money... And for the first time in two years, dealers are starting to increase their inventories.

"The shelf we kind of let get a little low because of the way things were, now that it's spring we're going to have a lot of new units coming in," said Winnebago Motor Homes Co-Owner Terry Franklin.

Shoppers seem to be warming up to the idea of a summer road trip as well. Out at the Indoor Sports Center, the newest models are on display, and it's drawing in some new customers.

Jane Kane and her husband Byran are shopping for their first RV.

"I grew up camping and it's something I think most families can afford to do, and it's going to be more important in the next few years," Kane said.

The Kanes says tradition takes precedence over cost, as they pass on this American pastime.
