Despite health warnings thousands of kids are becoming smokers. So the FDA is rolling out some new laws to prevent more from picking up this deadly habit.

The government hasn't been able to keep kids from seeing ads that glorify smoking, but there are some changes being made to the way they're marketed.

Starting in June tobacco companies will no longer be allowed to sponsor sporting and entertainment events and can't give away hats and t-shirts with their logo. They are also not allowed to offer free gifts with purchase.

The FDA will also better regulate how cigarettes are being sold. Such as they must come in a pack of at least 20 can't be given as a free sample or come from a vending machine. The government also plans to work harder to make sure cigarettes and smokeless tobacco aren't being sold to anyone under 18.

If the goverment really is concerned about children picking up the habit of smoking, they would simly ban tabocco completely. They don't because the companies pay them off! Think about it!!
