Regardless if health care reform is passed many say something needs to be done about our children's health. Because more of them are now considered obese.

A study of 700,000 children between the ages of two and nineteen found 37% are overweight, 19% obese and 6% extremely obese. The heaviest children were African American teenage girls 12% percent were extremely obese. Just more than eleven-percent of Hispanic boys fell into the same category. Doctors say kids with weight problems now will experience even more health problems later.

"Type two diabetes, fatty liver, hip problems a special type of hip fracture sleep apnea depression and early heart disease and even sudden death. " said Dr. Louise Greenspan/Pediatric Endocrinologist.

Doctor Greenspan says parents have to insist their children exercise and eat right... even if that makes them mad.
