The union that represents bus drivers in the Freeport School District has a new contract.
The Transportation Personnel Association agreed to a wage freeze in exchange for vision and dental insurance coverage. Superintendent Peter Flinn says he's impressed by the union's cooperation and understanding the freeze was necessary to make up for budget constraints. Transportation workers felt it was important to put students first. This new contract is for next school year.
