MAPS of Illinois is kicking off a unique campaign in honor of March Madness when basketball tournaments begin, called "This is Madness."

The group met at The Olympic Tavern in Rockford today, where they put stickers in bathrooms asking for undergarment donations.

MAPS leaders say the reason they ask for new underwear is because it's such a personal item that can affect a child's learning. They say children might make fun of a kid who doesn't have underwear or who has used or hand-me-down underwear. They also want kids to feel as comfortable as possible.

"We want kids to make sure that they can learn and do their best and one of the ways that they are able to learn and do their best is to be comfortable and warm, or cool as the season dictates," says Diana Agustsson, Vice President of MAPS of Illinois.
