Gary Welsh, 70, is supposed to sign a lease before he's in court next week. He's the guy who served 50 years in prison that the Department of Human Services thinks is mentally stable enough to go free.DHS is also required to complete his conditional release plan by then. The Illinois Attorney General's Office wants Welsh to face a series of restrictions such as not being allowed to drive, visit theaters and bars, and must stay away from children. A ruling is expected next Thursday.

I say he has served his time, so let him go. whether or not he has repented for his crime is between him and GOD. I do believe the restrictions are appropriate.
