ComEd partnered with a Freeport organization, going through a home today and showing residents exactly what they can do to save on their electric bills.
The first idea on cut backs starts with our computers. A ComEd Spokesman says, "If everyone turned off their desktop computer and monitor for two hours a day they could save up to two percent on their energy consumption and electric bills."
We can also start using compact fluorescent lamps, or CFL's. Experts say they're also great for conserving energy.
