1970s Killer May Be Released
A man originally sentenced to death for the 1970 murder of a Rockford teenager could be released from prison.

The Illinois prisoner review board is set to decide on April 1,2010 whether 62-year-old Calvin Madison should be a free man. Madison was convicted in the execution style slaying of 19-year-old John Hogan inside his parent's gas station. Madison's death sentence was overturned when the U.S. supreme court ruled the death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment. he was resentenced to 75-to-100 years in prison.
