Report: DCFS Officials Predict Budget Woes Will Cause Program Cuts

The Chicago Tribune reports in Friday’s editions that DCFS has told the governor's budget office it would have difficulties with just a 2.25 percent across-the-board cut.

The two-page document says the agency would be forced to cut foster care, adoption and residential facility programs.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich and leaders of the General Assembly are divided on how to close a $2.3 billion deficit.
