Illinois Hyrbid Rebate

Oil prices continue to spike and that's leading to more concerns about gas prices.

Right now, prices are still hovering around 3.30 a gallon. Analysts say the concern is over production in the North Sea. A pipeline there has closed and that's expected to reduce oil production. But going green with our vehicles will save us some green.

A new program in Illinois means $1,000 for those who buy a hybrid car but they're hard to find in the stateline.

If you're lucky you'll find a hybrid on a local lot but most will have to order one and wait a couple months for delivery.

Green Rewards is one of the State Treasurer's Cultivate Illinois Agricultural and Environmental programs. For more information, contact (312) 814-1901, (217) 557-6436 or
