Oil prices continue to spike and that's leading to more concerns about gas prices.
Right now, prices are still hovering around 3.30 a gallon. Analysts say the concern is over production in the North Sea. A pipeline there has closed and that's expected to reduce oil production. But going green with our vehicles will save us some green.
A new program in Illinois means $1,000 for those who buy a hybrid car but they're hard to find in the stateline.
If you're lucky you'll find a hybrid on a local lot but most will have to order one and wait a couple months for delivery.

Buyers can receive one $1,000 rebate per eligible vehicle.
Buyers must be Illinois residents.
Buyers must purchase an eligible hybrid, electric or fuel cell vehicle.
Buyers must receive financing from a participating financial institution
There are no income or price restrictions.

Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles, Hydrogen Fuel Cell and All Electric vehicles are also eligible. (Currently, Hydrogen Fuel Cell and CNG vehicles are not sold in Illinois, but may be in the future.)
