U.S. Senate Race

The U.S. Senate race has the two hopefuls going in two different directions. The Republican candidate Jack Ryan spent the day defending his past, while the Democratic runner Barack Obama was on the campaign trail to keep working class jobs in Illinois.

Obama made a stop in Rockford saying Illinois has lost too many jobs since President Bush took office. Obama questions why the only job creation we're seeing is in the service and retail industry and not manufacturing.

Obama is promoting four key issues. He says Illinois needs to ensure fair trade agreements, give companies better tax incentives to stay, improve infrastructures, and increase educational opportunities.
