Media United for Haiti Raises More Than $27,000
$27,000 and counting, that's what 23 News and other local media outlets helped raise in today's 14-hour telethon for Haiti. And students from another local school broke open their piggy banks to help out as well.

Money came pouring in at CherryVale Mall in Rockford and the phones were ringing off the hook.
A group of students from Ralston Elementary School in Machesney Park also showed up with donations of their own. In total, the gang raised $800.
The kids say they are excited to pour their snack money into the collection jugs, and know their money is going to a good cause.
The $27,000 was raised from phone calls alone. That does not include all of the cash donations, which are currently being counted
