Slaughterhouse Closes It's Doors

Cavel International had to shut down yesterday at midnight, that's when a previously issued temporary court order allowing it to stay open expired. Last month, state leaders banned the sale of horse meat for human consumption.

However, Cavel was allowed to stay open while they challenged that state law. 23 News tried to contact the owner of Cavel today but he's on vacation and unavailable.

    Are the animal rights group going to pay these laid off workers. If they can force our government to do this what will happen to the beef, chicken, hog operations across the country.
