FBI agents executed search warrants this week at five of Doctor Gautam Gupta's clinics. Two of them are in the stateline; one in Rockford and one in South Beloit.
Authorities have not disclosed exactly what they're looking for, but no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
Apparently the Rockford clinic is still open for business. Dr. Gupta is most known for giving advice on weight loss.

Airlines security should be on the look out and probably a fake name too. Because why is it that people who have been accused fraud have a name bouncing off in every direction all over the web.

Now that we've heard from the Guptas, claiming it's all lies, let's talk about all the Gupta family members around the world who have/are getting arrested for fraud.

Dr. Gupta's previous troubles with the law stemmed not from his medical practice but from accusations of insider trading by the SEC in regards to certain trades of Georgia-Pacific stock and he was ordered to repay his profit from said trades plus interest and penalties to the sum of $1,566,898.17. He is involved in more than medicine here in town. He owns several properties and developments around the city (in 2004 he sold a parking deck to the city of Rockford for $320,000) and is also fairly involved in commodities trading. The current searches could be related to either his medical practice or his side dealings (more likely, based on past incidences) and there may not even be charges filed in the end.
