Reagan Tributes in Dixon

House Speaker Dennis Hastert says Reagan's boyhood in Dixon provided the courage and optimism that will be the legacy of his eight years as president.

Governor Rod Blagojevich says Reagan's rise from the northern Illinois town of Dixon to the presidency proves that anything is possible in America.

About 100 people attended a memorial service today at the First Christian Church, where Reagan was baptized 82 years ago this month and once taught Sunday school. Another 400 people packed a Methodist church across the street to watch the service on a projection screen.

Outside, several people huddled under umbrellas to listen to the tribute on speakers.
