The Salvation Army has some good news for those affected by the summer floods of 2008.

The Salvation Army has some good news for those affected by the summer floods of 2008.
The village of Machesney Park was one of three areas Former President Bush designated as a disaster area. 700 homes and over 11,00 families were affected. 1.5 million dollars in federal disaster relief funds has been allocated to help flood victims in Winnebago County.
County board chairman Scott Christiansen along with Machesney Park Village President Tom Strickland announced that there is still a considerable amount of money left for flood victims and they are encouraging victims to contact the salvation army to see what kind of assistance they still maybe eligible for.
