New Energy Bill

A new energy bill passed by the US Senate would require auto makers to boost fuel economy in vehicles from 25 to 35 miles per gallon by 2020. This includes SUV's and pick up trucks.

The measure also calls for a major increase in ethanol production. The measure still needs to be passed by the House and signed by the President.
