100 Workers Lose Jobs at Rockford UPS Hub
100 part-time workers at our local UPS hub are out of a job.

UPS leaders at the Rockford facility are blaming a weak economy, saying the demand for UPS air delivery has dropped.
A spokeswoman for UPS says these positions are not seasonal, those employees hired for the holidays.
However, about 600 seasonal workers were laid off on Christmas Eve. We're told part-time employees could be re-hired if the economy picks back up.

Those who voted for Obama voted for a change in the way elected officials think. Obama doesn't have a magic wand that he can wave and magically turn the entire economy around overnight. He has instead followed through on a bail-out set forth by the previous administration which was unpopular but necessary. He has also identified the major financial institutions as the culprits (at least in part) to the economic shift and is holding them responsible by regulating their spending and practices as well as imposing taxes on them that will effectively force them to repay much of the bailout they were given. Obama may not have the magical powers to flip the economic crisis overnight but he has definitely taken the major administrative actions necessary to curve present spending, thereby affecting the "business as usual" tone in the financial sector. We also have the misuse and abuse of credit to blame for this issue, and for that you need to look no further than your fellow American...

To start off, this person above me cannont spell, so therefore should not be bashing anyone else. Second, UPS got all that money and is putting it into their full timers. This is stupid! I use to work for UPS as a permanent part-time employee. I was one of the first people to get laid off this last March and when they finally called me back in September I told them no, because I saw this coming. UPS is throwing their money into full-timers that sleep on their crew vans and do 1/2 the work that the part-timers do and they get paid 3 times more. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! So stop blamming Oabama, UPS can spend the money as they please, they just are spending it in the most ridiculous way.

Now that Obama has given us change, where are the jobs? Answer, no jobs, he wannt's you all on welfare and enemployment. If he gives you everything, you either vote his way or he will take it away. That's the change you voted for. This fool has not even run a lemonayde stand and still will not provide us with a birth certificate. Most transparent white house? I think not, wake up America we got us a stateist. For those that don't know that term, look it up. May GOD help us
