SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) -- Police are urging people in the Duluth-Superior area to watch out for bogus 20-dollar bills because of the counterfeits that have been showing up.
As of last Friday there had been two arrests in Superior, including a man buying food at a Culver's restaurant and another man trying to buy sub sandwiches at Erbert and Gerbert's.
Clerks notified police about the fake bills, resulting in the arrests.
Now police report that more of the counterfeits have been found.
Police say the fake bills are missing the security strip and watermark that should be on them ... and the paper is the wrong texture making them feel too slippery.
