The end is near, that's what key state lawmakers are promising on the debate over consumer's soaring electric rates.
There aren't many details out yet, what we do know is lawmakers have been discussing another rate freeze similar to the one that ended in January.
House Democrats are backing the potential rate freeze while Senate Democrats disagree with the proposal. Both sides however, do agree that significant relief for consumers must happen soon.
An agreement could come as early as next week.
