Virginia Tech Building Opened

BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Just two months after a Virginia Tech student went on a rampage, killing 32 people before committing suicide, the university is reopening Norris Hall.

The second-floor classrooms where Seung-Hui Cho shot 25 students and five faculty members will not be used again. But a handful of graduate students were able to continue with their research in the building's engineering labs today.

Use of the hall remains limited as crews work to remove asbestos.

The university decided to reopen the building -- during daytime hours and with security guards posted -- because the lab contains equipment that can't be moved.

The section of the dorm where Cho shot two other students is still walled off.
