Civil Suit Hearings in Barmore Shooting Death
The City of Rockford is facing two civil suits related to this shooting death of Mark Barmore. One is filed on behalf of Kingdom Authority Church, and the other by the Barmore family.

Both cases were heard in federal court today for pre-trial conferences with U.S. Magistrate Michael Mahoney.

Attorneys for Barmore's family were not present. however those representing the church were.

One of them is fairly well known in Chicago, for representing Drew Peterson and R. Kelly.

His legal team says taking on the church's case was an easy decision.

The attorney representing the City of Rockford declined to comment.

When was the last time an officer was ever charged with killing our citizens? Anybody? Give up? When you think about it, we need to FEAR for our lives every time we see the POLICE..They get away with MURDER....

My family are law abiding citizens not criminals and would never put themselves in the situation Barmore put himself in. Our "community" didn't fail him, the people who raised him failed him. So why hold the community responsible for everyone else's children? My mother was negligentand abusive. We turned out all right. We are all job holding, tax paying, law abiding,employed people. The Barmore family is only looking for another easy buck! He got what he deserved. The community got what they pay for, 2 outstanding police officers that take "To protect and serve" seriously. Kudos to the police for making our streets safer from thugs like Barmore.

I feel for the Barmore family. I hope that all the negative comment's that people have on someone loosing a family member this way, that it don't come back and bite them in the a--!, and I also hope that Poole and North are never put back on the streets because this won't be the end of their terror in our city, to shoot to kill around children in a daycare and get away with it!!! There is God's justice when man's justice fails.
