Winnebago County prosecutors have now filed murder charges against an 18-year-old woman accused of killing a 15-year-old boy during an argument last weekend.
Cowarna Patterson had been charged with aggravated battery in the death of Tyrone Carthell Saturday night. But State's Attorney Paul Logli says the charges were changed to first-degree murder Tuesday afternoon.
