What is the big deal why does his family need it? Why make the grieving process harder then it already is?

I really feel they should give his diploma to his mom....he had enough credits before he passed away.....it is not right to keep it away from her...Diane :-(

Oh Course he had zeros and didn't have passing grades after he died. That should not have been an issue after the fact. Take what he had before he died and give the family his Official Auburn High School Diploma!!!!

This is not right not to let his family have his diploma he work for it just because he passed away the gradeing period should have stop and then check his grades and then decide if he have enough credits to graduate Ipersonly think they should give his patrents his diploma to his family if it was me i would take them to court to get justice for thier son.he work for like everybody else.

I've heard a lot of negative things about the Rockford school district, but this takes the cake. They should have taken into consideration the grades he had before he died, and then added similar grades after he died to see if he had enough credits to graduate. If those grades had continued in the same venue and there were enough points for him to graduate, then his family should have received the diploma.

We moved from Rockford 7 years ago to get away from the Rockford School District, and the denial of Brad Berogan's diploma is yet another example that we made the right decision! This is as low as I've ever seen the District stoop! Dead kids can't attend school, so how are they supposed to keep up their grades! I am disgusted and ashamed of the boards decision, and I hope each member comes to regret it. Furthermore, if they were so concerned about his grades after his death, why not let someone in his family, or his circle of friends do the work in place of him, and then decide?(Dead kids can't cheat either!) Would their decision have been any different if it were one of their kids?
