According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, 622 individuals have applied for federal assistance and more than $43,000 was given out for home repairs. The agency says 59 small business loans also were made, totaling more than $2 million.
Some businesses have made donations and a relief concert is planned May 30 featuring the country group Sawyer Brown.
The storms flattened much of Utica and killed eight people when a building collapsed. On Thursday, some Utica businesses have reopened while some rebuilding is on hold pending a decision on whether to re-route Illinois 178.
In Granville, Putnam County Sheriff Kevin Doyle says the cleanup was finished this week.
