Antique Chandelier Taken From Historic Elks Club in Rockford

Authorities say the chandelier was worth about $3,000 and the capitals, which were sawed off pillars on the building's grand staircase, are worth about $500 each.

The landmark building has been vacant for more than a decade, and developers have been trying to convert it to commercial or public use.

It was designed by Chicago architect Lawrence Buck, who was a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright.
