One woman is dead and two people still recovering after the two-car crash.
The accident happened just after ten in the morning at the intersection of Harlem and Paulson.
Police say 16-year-old Anthony Savalier was heading west bound when he crossed the center line, and hit a car headed eastbound head on.
Savalier was airlifted to Rockford Memorial Hospital where he's in critical condition.
The passenger of the eastbound car, 73-year-old Joann Jewitt was airlifted to Saint Anthony Medical Center where she later died.
Her driver and daughter, 48-year-old Virginia Spinasanta is in good condition also at Saint Anthony's.
Charges in this accident are pending.
