It's estimated that more then $400,000 Americans die each year from tobacco related diseases.
Now Rockford Memorial Hospital is taking a look inside a smoker's lungs and showing them how harmful it can be.
An interactive kiosk was set up in the hospital's café today showing the impact lighting up can have. Smokers can see how their lung functions compare to normal rates. There's also a test on age progression. An imaging procedure takes your face and shows you what you would look like in 70 years if you kept smoking and then what you would look like if you stopped.
There are also on site councilors that meet one on one to guide us through and show exactly how smoking effects our bodies.
