Rockford Police make an arrest in connection with Sunday night's fire bombing. Police say 19-year-old Quentin Taylor of Rockford has been charged with aggravated arson.
The firebombing happened around 9 p.m. Sunday night at 511 College Ave. Several people were in the apartment building at the time but no one was hurt thanks to the help of a good Samaritan.
A plumber who was working across the street saw the flames and rushed over to help a man and woman who were stuck inside the building escape.
Damage has been estimated at 50,000 dollars. Last Monday morning three homes were fire bombed.
Sunday night's fire has not been linked to the other three. Hispanic gangs are believed to be behind those fires.
