NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Hootie and the Blowfish will collect supplies for disadvantaged schools in a 14-city concert tour that includes a stop in Illinois.
The latest Homegrown Concert Series will begin July Third in Lewiston, New York, and end September Third in Detroit.
The tour includes a scheduled concert at the Ravinia Pavilion in Highland Park on August 15th.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring school supplies, which are donated to schools in the community.
The group says it started its school charity concerts in 2003 and has collected around 100-thousand-dollars worth of supplies so far.
The group's hits include "Let Her Cry," "Hold My Hand" and "Only Wanna Be with You."
