Gubernatorial Candidates Debate in Loves Park
With a little more than three months to go before February's primary, gubernatorial candidates are making sure we here in Rockford know who they are.

Candidates Dan Proft, Michael White, Lex Green and Randy Stufflebeam faced off at the Northern Illinois Campaign for Liberty debate. They discussed some of our state's most pressing issues such as unemployment, poverty and corruption. Some feel our lack of faith, should be reason enough to want a change in leadership.
"We don't have faith in our own government any more, we don't have faith in the leaders of Illinois and we need to get some honest decent, respectful people who have integrity and want to do the right thing and want to work hard for the right thing as opposed to making money for the next election," says Independent Candidate Michael White.
"I believe very strongly in limited government which means less spending and lower taxes and i want to get in there and do my best to make it happen," says Libertarian Candidate Lex Green.
Another big debate takes place tomorrow at the Radisson Hotel in Rockford. All democratic U.S. Senate and Gubernatorial candidates will be there. It's from three-to-seven. And will be moderated by the Rockford Register Star's Chuck Sweeney.
