Two Illinois and Wisconsin Soldiers Die at Fort Hood
Of the thirteen soldiers who have died so far, in the worst mass shooting at a U.S. base in history, two are from Illinois and two more are from Wisconsin.

Francheska Velez, 21 of Chicago is one of the victims. Velez just returned from deployment in Iraq and was set to return home to announce that she was pregnant.

Another 21 year old, Michael Pearson of Bolingbrook, also died in the attack. According to relatives, Pearson quit what he considered a dead-end job at a furniture company to join the military about a year ago.
