'Operation Support for the Deployed Military' held an all-day sew-in at Bethesda Covenant Church in Rockford today.
At least 70 people showed up to lend their crafty expertise, to help sew stockings and pillow cases for our troops overseas.
So far about 400 stockings have been sewed and are ready to go, but there's still about 400 left to complete.
If you're interested in helping with stockings or donations for shipping, you can visit www.homeofthebravequilts.com and click on the 'Operation Support for the Deployed Military' link, or you can email Margaret at isew99@aol.com.
