Researchers in northern Illinois are still coming up with more information about the Burpee Museum's prized juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex -- otherwise known as Jane.

The T-Rex was discovered in Montana in 2001.

But Northern Illinois University researcher Joe Peterson says researchers recently discovered that Jane suffered a serious bite during her lifetime. The bite punctured the dinosaur's left upper jaw and snout in four places.

Peterson says that left Jane with a snout that bends slightly to the left. He says it was probably broken and healed back crooked.

Peterson says the discovery is significant because it gives some insight into the behavior of a juvenile T-Rex.
