Abduction Victim Found Un-Harmed
Winnebago County Sheriffs find a woman unharmed after being taken from her home Monday night.

Around 9:27p.m. Monday night Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to an apartment on Linden Rd. in Rockford in reference to a possible abduction. Police then learned that a 38yr old female, had been forced from the apartment by her estranged boyfriend 31 year old Joseph Papini. Papini fled in a car with the victim.
After an intense search for the Papini and the victim, the car was spotted on N. 2nd St. and was stopped near Sinnissippi Park. Papini was taken into custody and the victim was found un-harmed.
Papini been charged as follows:
-Residential Burglary
-Unlawful Restraint
-Criminal Damage to Property
-Interfering with the reporting of Domestic Battery.
Papini is lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
