The MetroCentre presented its first quarter earnings to a city council committee.
The big orange box is still in the red but has seen a significant jump in revenue since last year's summer season.
The MetroCentre's director says he credits the positive numbers to the more than 30,000 people attending sold out shows in the warmer months.
Also at tonight's city council meeting, aldermen passed tougher restrictions on ATV usage in Rockford. This comes after a man was run down by a rider in his front lawn last month. Four wheelers will now abide to similar rules as street vehicles.
