The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is raising fees on its campsites this month.
Beginning Thursday, fees will increase by as little as one dollar or as much as four; 8,700 campsites are affected which includes state parks, conservation areas and fish and wildlife areas.
The extra money will be used for campground maintenance and operations.
