How would our community deal with a flu epidemic? That's what local health officials are trying to answer today. It's the largest exercise of it's kind by the Stephenson County Health Department.
It was a fictional scenario at Dakota Grade School, a flu outbreak that spread to the US through international travelers. Volunteers and the health department held a vaccination clinic testing how well they could distribute vaccines to the public during a threat like this.
The training exercise focused on receiving medications from the state, getting the meds to the local site, and distributing them to the public.
