A stern warning tonight for a horse slaughtering plant in Dekalb. Cavel International has 60 days to clean up it's waste water discharge, that's according to the US Humane Society and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
The groups say Cavel has repeatedly violated the law by releasing animal residue into the sewer system. However, a Cavel rep tells us tonight that the company has been working with the sanitary district for the past two years.
They just installed a new system that they believe will solve the problem.
