Rockford area roads will be getting a much-needed facelift.
The U.S. House Friday approved a long-range transportation funding bill, which includes $5 million for three road projects.
One million dollars will widen and reconstruct the part of U.S. 20 from Chestnut to Springfield.
The other two projects are a four-lane expansion of North Main Street and Route 20 from Freeport to Galena.
The House and Senate will now work out an agreement for a final version of the bill.
