A major shake up for a local school district tonight. Belvidere School District Superintendent Donald Schlomann has decided to leave his post.
He's served as the superintendent for about 5 years. Schlomann has accepted a new job as superintendent of the St. Charles School District. He says his switch has more to do with the promise of a new opportunity than discontent with his previous position.
Schlomann's 3 year contract with the St. Charles School District has yet to be negotiated.
