A consumer alert tonight, a lawsuit against a car maker accuses them of designing cars with defective odometers on purpose.
A women bought her Honda SUV for it's high numbers in gas mileage, resale value, and reliability. But she soon found out one number was running too high, the odometer.
While her odometer says she's driven 25,000 miles, she's actually gone 500 less and her car is now one of millions with faulty odometers that rack up miles too fast.
Her lawyer claims on average Honda models run 2% fast.
