Criminal Record Expungement Workshop Held in Rockford
The job market is tough as it is, but having a criminal record makes it that much more difficult.

That's why today, the NIU Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic hosted a free expungement workshop. There folks were able to bring their criminal history file to see if any of their records could be sealed or expunged. Charges that qualify include possession of a controlled substance and potentially prostitution, giving those with a blemish on their records a chance to turn things around.
Most DUI's, violent and sex offenses do not qualify. If you have any questions how to go about getting your record expunged, call 866-787-1776.

My friend is in a wheelchair, he can't walk or use his hands but he got 2 felonies on him for "supposedly accepting a stolen vcr (which it wasn't stolen) and being an Accessory to the house vandalism (he had a broken foot and a sore on his other foot, both feet were on elevated legrests which made it impossible to drive a wheelchair thru the wet mud and do the damage he was accused of doing.)" The fact was this: it was an ELECTION year and if the States Attorney convicted his FIRST DISABLED, WHEELCHAIR BOUND PERSON "HE WOULD BE SENDING A MESSAGE TO ALL THE DISABLED POPULATION THAT THE DISABLED WHEELCHAIR PEOPLE WEREN'T ABOVE THE LAW BECAUSE THEY ARE IN WHEELCHAIRS!" After my friend got raked over the coals for that baloney, he hasn't been able to get a job or get any kind of work anywhere. Can anyone help him get his 'record exponged' so he can get on with his life? Contact his cousin at: johnz_friends@yahoo.com Thank you for your help. Regards, JoBob Miller
