The three gunmen entered Novedadas Azteca at around 3 p.m. The suspects then tied up seven customers and employees with duct tape they had brought with them. They then robbed the store getting away with an undisclosed amount of clothing, jewelry and money.
Rockford Police believe the suspects were driving a blue or gray Ford car which was last seen driving down East State Street. A woman was waiting outside for her husband when the gunmen left the store.
Now, one of the customers was able to get free of the duct tape and call police, but right now police don't have any suspects in custody. No one was injured in this robbery, but obviously it was a traumatic situation for the people who were tied up.
