A day after the Winnebago County health department announces a West Nile positive crow, administrators say they're being flooded with calls about dead birds.
But, the health department will not be collecting or testing any more dead crows turned in to them.
However, health administrators say they still need people to call into the dead crow hotline to report dead crows in order to track the density of West Nile in specific areas.
The Winnebago county health department’s dead crow hotline is 740-2424. Operators will want to know when you found the bird and your address.
