Not only will gas prices be hitting our wallets hard, so could power prices.
Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle says a new regional power pricing system could mean higher bills for residential and business electrical customers.
Doyle says Wisconsin would be penalized for its crowded power grid. Under the system to go into effect late this year, electricity rates would be higher in areas that have bottlenecks in the transmission system.
For those of us in Illinois however, our rates will not be affected. Power prices are locked in until 2007.
