An Illinois lawmaker says Gov. Rod Blagojevich is not being aggressive enough on the issue of buying cheaper prescription drugs from Canada.
Blagojevich is pushing the federal government to lift the ban on buying drugs in Canada, but Rep. Jack Franks says he doesn't want to wait for federal action.
The Woodstock Democrat proposes state legislation that he says would give people a legal way to buy Canadian drugs over the Internet from certain pharmacies.
He also plans on using his Web site to link to three Canadian mail-order pharmacies. A spokeswoman says Blagojevich is working hard to change the federal law but is not willing to do anything illegal.
